Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We ordered a lot of food, and other than the fried tofu, everything else was delicious. They accept only cash. It’s a really nice place, with large, happy Chinese-Thai families sitting around huge tables, chattering. The conversations are loud, and the atmosphere is very jovial."
"I've been dining at this Chinese restaurant for many years, and their fried tofu is absolutely the best I've ever had in any Chinese establishment. Today, I only ordered the spicy pig's ear salad and fried tofu - remarkably affordable at just over 300 baht for both dishes. Their seafood boiled-rice is another must-try! I highly recommend ordering the large pot which retains heat beautifully. If you can't finish it, they'll happily pack it for takeaway. The flavor is genuinely exceptional. The owner (who everyone affectionately calls "Hia") and his staff are incredibly friendly. I've returned countless times and have never been disappointed - the taste is consistently perfect every single visit. This hidden gem delivers authentic Chinese flavors with remarkable consistency. Whether you're craving comfort food or exploring Chinese cuisine, Golden Dragon House delivers an experience that keeps customers coming back year after year."
"Food feel like chinese, bec they r chinease food. Tofu with dipping sauce is great. Tomato with egg is yummy Fried crab tofu cover with Deep-fried Stuffed Tofu Skin is gooddddd (Hoi Jor Poo) Hoi Ka Pong is fresh"
"We ordered for three people and were worried it wouldn't be enough, but it was the perfect amount! Here's what we got: · Stir-fried Kwe Tiao (Medium): A generous and delicious portion. We thought we might not finish it, but it was so good we did! · Salt and Pepper Fried Frogs: This dish was a winner. The frogs were incredibly crunchy and full of flavour. · Stir-fried Baby Mussels with Tofu: The baby mussels were briny and savoury, perfectly cooked with soft tofu! Verdict: Nothing disappointed! Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted authentic. This is a legit Chinese food restaurant in Song Wat. Highly recommended if you're craving real, flavourful dishes. We will definitely be back!"
"An old school Chinese place that’s been there for ages. We were there for lunch on a Sunday before 1200, but it was already buzzing with big tables of families. The food was still reasonably fast considering how crowded it was. We had the stir fry tiny mussels, chili garlic fried frog legs, and clay pot eggplant. The first two dishes were really really good. Will have to go back and try other dishes here."
"Hidden gem in China town… Delicious and reasonable price! MUST-ORDER dishes: BEST-EVER seafood with pork rib boiled rice… my most fav!, deep fried tofu, jute leaves, streamed abalone with garlic and glass noodle…"
"Traditional Chinese restaurant. Some dishes taste very nice but some dishes are too authentic for me which I'm not familiar with. Recommend to make reservation because not so many tables. No parking and locates at a small and traffic area. However, the surrounding area is full of old design buildings, street art and near the river."
"The food is not too expensive for a Chinese restaurant. Fresh seafood and high quality meal"
